Louisa Golf at the Greens at Tanyard Golf Club - Open for Public Play
There is a hidden treasure in Louisa, Virginia. Welcome to The Greens at Tanyard, an 18-hole golf facility located in Central Virginia, midway between Richmond, Charlottesville and Fredericksburg. This top-tier golf course has earned its reputation as a people and player friendly course. The Greens at Tanyard is a semi-private facility. Public play is also welcomed seven days a week. Guests will rave about our unpretentious membership.
The Greens at Tanyard was originally developed from a large dairy farm, and players can still see the original manor house and silos. In 1983, it started life as the Louisa Country Club, located in the heart of Louisa. Drawn inside one of the silos is a huge, unique cosmic sundial created by a notable local scientist. In 1996, the members bought the club began to add major improvements. Famed golf course architect Tom Clark redesigned the course, which includes a tennis complex.
Louisa Golf Features
The Greens at Tanyard course features 18 holes, spanning 6,502 yards from its longest tees. The course is a par 72 with a 72 rating and a 123 slope. It was designed by Ault, Clark and Associates. This unique design will challenge experienced golfers while at the same time helping new players relax as they enjoy this classic game. The design rewards golfers who are accurate off the tee, forcing them to keep their drivers in the bag on several holes so they are able to stay out of the trees. A good short game is a must on this course.
In addition to high quality on the course, The Greens at Tanyard gives its guests the world-class amenities they have come to expect. We have a putting green, chipping area and driving range so you can hone all aspects of your game. We have lessons for the serious golfer and a relaxing clubhouse atmosphere, which is currently under renovation and soon will be completed for you to enjoy.
We can't wait to welcome you to The Greens at Tanyard!
